New Sun The Clean Energy

OUR PROJECT

Installation of power backup systems in Kamuli General Hospital, Bumanya Health Center IV, Masafu General Hospital, and Kidera Health Center IV.

The ambition

Due to power outrage in the Eastern region, the above health centers used to experience unstable power at their facilities. This hindered such facilities from offering their services to many patients in the area. With such issues, USAID/Regional Health Integration to enhance services in the East Central (RHITES-EC) activity project offered support to the selected health facilities. The support was to offer power backup systems to the health facilities. Rhites/EC contacted us to supply and install power backup systems for the health centers.

The solution

Recognizing the pivotal role these health centers play in ensuring community health, we embarked on a mission to safeguard their operations against power interruptions. The core of our intervention lay in the installation of power backup systems, designed to cater to the unique needs of health facilities. Each facility was equipped with a robust battery capacity of 2000Ah, coupled with an Inverter/charger size of 3Kva.  This strategic configuration ensured a transition to backup power, allowing healthcare providers to continue their essential services even during unforeseen power outages. In critical moments, especially during emergencies or medical procedures, a reliable power supply can make all the difference.

The Results

Through initiatives like these, we aim to empower such facilities to focus on what matters most – delivering quality healthcare to those who depend on them.
